Labour ‘Suspends’ Strike Action for One Week

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have ‘relaxed’ the ongoing strike action for one week

This is to allow the tripartite body – government, employers and labour – agree on a new national wage within the next one week.

The organs meeting, which ended at 11.31am on Tuesday was jointly presided over by the President of NLC, Joe Ajaero and his TUC counterpart, Festus Osifo.

After the resolution to relax the ongoing strike a one week moratorium, the oorganised labour then proceeded to the Nicon luxury to continue its engagement with the tripartite committee.
