The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), Mr. Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip has assured staff members of the commission that he would focus on their welfare while prioritizing capacity building.
He stated this at an interactive meeting with staff over the weekend.
The Permanent Secretary disclosed that capacity of staff will be enhanced through training and retraining to ensure that the Commission’s strategic vision and mandates are achieved.
He informed them that his doors are always open as he operates an open door policy while frowning at gossip and insubordination.
Ndiomu directed that SERVICOM boxes be placed in strategic locations in the premises for staff to escalate their suggestions and grievances to his office. He assured staff of their utmost confidentiality.
The Perm Sec frowned at weak security situations in the Commission; promising that it would be improved. He directed the Commission’s security personnel to ensure that staff wear official identity cards at all times to differentiate them from visitors as part of security measures for the Commission.
He further disclosed that the reward system in the Commission will be bolstered and staff performance rewarded, noting that he was out to change the face of the Commission for good by making it the envy of all.
