The leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party have accused the All Progressives Congress of reversing its (PDP) legacies and accomplishments.
Rising from their meeting in Akure, on Wednesday, the PDP leaders said the ruling APC had not demonstrated the capacity to resolve the economic challenges facing the country.
The PDP leaders said the APC had allowed the economic gains recorded under the PDP administration to wane.
In the communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the PDP expressed sadness over the current state of the national economy.
In the communiqué signed by its leaders and read by a former Minister of Sports and Special Duties, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, the PDP said, “The development in the area of elections is becoming disturbing and from all indications, the accomplishments recorded by the last PDP government, as regards the conduct of credible elections, are beginning to wane.
“The South-West PDP wishes to put on the record our dissatisfaction with the performance of the Independent National Electoral Commission under the ruling party as many of the elections conducted so far supervised have been inconclusive.”
