The Independent National Electoral Commission has approved the resumption of political campaigns.
This was contained in a statement by INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman of the commission’s Information and Voter Education Committee, Mr Festus Okoye.
Earlier today the opposition Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) had taken INEC to court seeking an order from the court restraining the commission from enforcing its directive against resumption of campaigns.
