Enugu State Government says it is targeting no fewer than one million children in the Sub-National Immunisation plus days in the state.
Dr George Ugwu, the Executive Secretary of Enugu State Primary Health Care Development Agency (ENS-PHCDA) disclosed this in an interview in Enugu on Friday.
Ugwu said that “the immunisation is for children between the ages of 0 and 59 months.
He added that the four days statewide exercise, which would kick-off on Saturday, Jan. 18, would run till Jan. 21, noting that there might be some extra days for mop-up if need be.
He explained that the agency had already trained and mobilised 479 immunisation teams who would be thoroughly supervised to ensure that they reached hard-to-reach areas.
