President Muhammadu Buhari has presented a supplementary national budget to the National Assembly.
He said it should be funded with virement of costs already voted to items in the 2018 Appropriation Act.
The President specifically asked the legislature not to increase the size of the 2018 Appropriation Act from the current N9.21tn.
Buhari also requested for approval of N228.9b to fund the 2019 elections.
President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, read Buhari’s letter at the plenary on Tuesday.
The President had while signing the 2018 Appropriation Bill into law faulted the changes made to the estimates in the budget.
